Who are we

SWN is an organization with a small, hard core. Our thinking is supported by a growing community of scholars, artists, trainers and health care providers, among others.

  • Research

Ellen Laan conducted groundbreaking research on women's sexual health. She founded SWN with an important goal: closing the orgasm gap. By visiting schools, giving lectures and talking to politicians, we narrow the gap and thus sexual inequality.

  • Movement

You can think of the SWN community as a sexual civilization offensive. In a positive way, we move society forward. We go for safety, equality and sexual pleasure for all. The greater the diversity within our community, the better.

  • Connect

Are we doing something that affects you, personally or professionally? Can we help you, or you help us further? Then we would like to get acquainted. Send an email or stop by during an open evening. You can drop in occasionally, join the SWN community or become a partner.

In memoriam

On Jan. 22, 2022, Ellen Laan, our Ellen, passed away at the age of 59. She had been seriously ill for quite some time. Losing her caused great pain to family and friends. Patients, young people, colleagues and everyone in the SWN community also miss her gentle nature and fiery enthusiasm. She was one with the goal of making sexual pleasure and equality the norm. Now it is up to us to continue her life's work. Dear Ellen, we are going to pull out all the stops.
